Goddess of Explosions is a playable character in Slap City. She is a goddess with an extreme love for explosions. She's the mother of Princess Pitch, Squeak and Monotone, and is also the wife of Bear Miner.

Physical description

Goddess of Explosions is a tall woman with wings jutting out from the sides of her long blonde hair. She sports a pink dress with yellow accents on her skirt, and what appears to be steel armor covering her torso. The armor has a warning sign embedded in the center as well.

Appearances

Hyper Princess Pitch

She makes an appearance in the secret level that can be accessed at the end of stage 3 if the player counters the boss' laser attack. By meeting her, the player learns the Galactic Pile Driver and unlocks an alternate ending. She can also be summoned if the player puts in a cheat code (Up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right without firing), in which she wipes out all the enemies in the room by using Goddess Buster. If used in a boss room, it also cuts the boss' HP in half, or instantly destroys them when they're in their "desperation mode".

Card City Nights

She makes an appearance as Fiery Woman and is one of the Card Gods. She holds the Ittle Dew DX Legendary Card and rewards it to the player upon victory. She also appears as a rare attack card that does as additional 2 damage.

Card City Nights 2

Goddess makes a returning appearance as Galactic Dominator. Now a massive robot, she is a post game opponent and can be challenged to be granted control of her ship. The player can then negotiate trades and/or destroy planets with it.

She also appears on a rare card that deals 1 damage to both the player and opponent and deals it once again when resolved. Another rare card named "Goddess Buster" stars her doing the titular move from Hyper Princess Pitch, and can be played prior to placing the Goddess of Explosions card to deal an immediate 2 damage before removing the Goddess Buster card from play.

Easter eggs & secrets

  • If you grab an opponent as GoE and press the taunt button, she will begin charging GODDESS BUSTER. It takes an extremely long time to charge, though, and the opponent only has to struggle once to cancel the move. If the charge is completed, however, she zooms into space with the opponent and suplexes them and Saturn (carried down from space) so hard, it creates a devastating explosion that covers the whole screen.
    • Pressing attack, special or clutch during the charge-up when the opponent has at least 200% summons one of GoE's daughters to use a powerful finishing move. These can damage any other opponents who are nearby.
      • Pressing attack summons Squeak, who does a wide slash attack.
      • Pressing special will summon Pitch, who fires a cannon at the opponent; causing an explosion.
      • Pressing clutch summons Monotone, who fires a giant laser.
  • If taunt is held while fully charging forward strong, GoE charges up an extra powerful explosion punch that will definitely KO any nearby opponents.
  • Every 6th time up special is used, GoE uses an Apathetic Frog instead of a planet; dealing double the damage during the ascent and crash and quadruple the damage during the descent.

  • Changed Forward throw initial release knockback angle from 20 to 10, so it no longer causes Tetron to land on platforms above Goddess before the primary hitbox comes out

  • The voice actor of GoE, Anastasia Matuszewski, is the niece of Anna who voiced the main character in Remar's other title, Iji. [1]
  • A reference to her attack "Goddess Buster" can be found in Magicka: Wizards of the Square Tablet as an achievement.
  • One of her alternate outfits in Slap City, War Queen, is named after the second-highest difficulty level in Hyper Princess Pitch (barring reallyjoel's mom).
    • It was implied in War Queen's Arcade Mode ending in earlier versions of the game that she was a mortal blessed with power by GoE. However, later updates changed her ending to talk about her successful novel and movie career instead.
  • GoE's dress contains a portal that leads to the Explosion Dimension.
